Finding Inspiration in Everything
A picture's true power lies not in its colors or shapes, but in the whispers of its symbols.
They say you can't judge a book by its cover, but perhaps you can, if you look carefully. The symbolic imagery in the picture holds more depth than its surface appearance, revealing layers of meaning that resonate with the author.
Please continue below to read The Cover Story and learn about the symbolism in the cover of the book.

The Cover Story
After taking photos of her granddaughter to share on their Instagram account for Native American Heritage Month, on a whim, Twila sent one to her editor. The image was forwarded to the media team. While the team said that specific picture was not a good fit, they requested additional images. Within a few days, a photo was selected, and the author’s own granddaughter became the cover model of her debut book.
